Job summary

Telespazio BeNeLux is seeking an experienced End to End Communications Systems Engineer to work on ESTEC in the Netherlands as a contractor. The role requires developing and maintaining simulation tools, performing analyses for mission development, and collaborating with international teams.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree in a related field and have strong programming skills (Python/C++/MATLAB). A relocation package and extensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain and further develop the section’s simulation and analysis tools.

• Support CCSDS standards and related standardization activities.
• Contribute to system performance assessments and mission studies.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations based on analytical results.

Telespazio BeNelux has an on‑site service at ESTEC in the Netherlands, and we are looking for a highly skilled End to End Communications Systems Engineer to work there.

Candidates must be eligible for a security personal clearance from an EU Member State national security administration

What Is Expected From You

• Maintain and further develop the Section’s Simulation and Analysis Tools.
• Design, implement, test, and validate new simulation capabilities and analytical functions.
• Ensure the reliability, performance, and documentation of simulation software and tools.
• Support international standardization activities, with particular focus on CCSDS standards and working groups.
• Contribute to the definition, review, and implementation of relevant technical standards.
• Perform dedicated simulations and analyses in support of mission development activities.
• Support mission studies, trade‑off analyses, and system performance assessments.
• Conduct simulations and technical analyses for research and development (R&D) programmes.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations based on analytical results.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and stakeholders across projects.

What You Offer

• Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in simulation, modelling, and analysis of complex systems.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C++, MATLAB, or similar.
• Experience with software development, verification, validation, and configuration management.
• Knowledge of systems engineering principles and analytical methodologies.
• Familiarity with space mission analysis, spacecraft operations, or communication systems.
• Knowledge of CCSDS standards and/or participation in standardization activities is considered an asset.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills in an international environment.

Where

You will be working within ESTEC, the European Space Agency’s offices in the Netherlands as a contractor for Telespazio BeNeLux. We don’t expect the employees to be on‑site full time however you will still have to relocate to the Netherlands for this position.
