Job summary

NXP Semiconductors in the Netherlands seeks a project-oriented engineer to support test engineering activities. You will prepare data, run evaluations, document results, and assist with setup, qualification, and coordination across teams.

You will collaborate with test, design, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure readiness and resolve issues, while maintaining test plans and records for project visibility.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree (or graduating soon) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related discipline.
  • Hands-on lab or project experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn quickly and adapt.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals and documentation.
  • English communication skills.
  • Exposure to ATE programming is a plus.

Job description

Job Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to new product introduction or test engineering activities by preparing data, running evaluations, and documenting results.
  • Assist with setup, qualification, troubleshooting, and coordination of technical tasks across teams.
  • Work with test, design, manufacturing, and quality teams to enable readiness and issue resolution.
  • Help maintain test plans, reports, and engineering records for project visibility.
  • Contribute to smooth development execution, technical learning, and product quality.
Requirements/Qualification:
  • Master's degree (or graduating soon) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related discipline.
  • Hands-on experience from lab work, design projects, internships, coursework, or student competitions is a plus.
  • Familiar with role-related engineering, design, verification, programming, or lab tools; willingness to learn quickly is important.
  • Strong foundation in engineering fundamentals, problem solving, testing, and technical documentation.
  • Able to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical ideas clearly.
  • Good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
  • Exposure to Automated Test Equipment (ATE) programming and fundamental test techniques from course work or lab is a plus
