Finom in Amsterdam is seeking an Engineering Manager who combines technical leadership with product building. You will guide a cross‑functional team across backend, frontend, mobile and QA, delivering products that create real value for hundreds of thousands of businesses across Europe.

We look for 5+ years in software development, hands‑on experience with modern tech stacks, and a strong business sense. This role offers remote or hybrid work across Europe and stock options.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development building data‑intensive production systems.
• Proven track record leading cross‑functional engineering teams.
• Deep technical knowledge across general‑purpose languages and platforms (C#/.NET, Java/JVM, JavaScript/Node, Go).
• Experience in product‑led organizations, ideally with international scope.
• Strong business acumen – connect engineering to revenue, retention and trust.
• Comfortable with product metrics (DAU/MAU, retention, conversion funnels).
• Exceptional communication in English across audiences.
• A builder's mentality: shipping great products and growing teams.

Responsibilities

• Guide a cross‑functional engineering team (5‑10 engineers) to build valuable fintech products.
• Communicate clearly with engineers, product managers and executives; focus on business outcomes.
• Balance feature delivery with technical debt and scalability.
• Prioritise based on value and effort; discuss ROI and trade‑offs.
• Lead hiring, promotions and coaching; run meaningful 1:1s.
