Job Description:
TE Connectivity’s R&D/Product Development Engineering Teams conceive original ideas for new products, introduce them into practice. They are responsible for product development, and qualification from market definition through production and release; assist in the qualification of suppliers for new products to ensure suppliers deliver quality parts, materials, and services for new or improved manufacturing processes; conduct feasibility studies, testing on new and modified designs; direct and support detailed design, testing, prototype fabrication and manufacturing ramp. The R&D/Product Development Engineering Teams provide all required product documentation including, but not limited to,DigitalModel,Performance Simulation,2D/3D production drawings, product specifications, and testing requirements. They create andmodifydetailed drawings anddraftingor conceptual models from layouts, rough sketches ornotesand contribute to design modifications tofacilitatemanufacturing operation or quality of product. Typical fields ofexpertiseincludematerials,mechanicsand systems, electrical, optics, chemistry, software, automation systems, packaging, testing and measurement, and manufacturing of electrical,mechanicaland electronic components, products, and their integration into systems.
As‘ManagerRD&E’,the candidateisresponsible forthefutureof ourterminal block portfolio.In this capacity,he or shewill be workingclosely with all relevant departments to ensure our platform-NPI’s are deliveredon-time,on-budgetandon-quality, including hitting our sustainability targets. As leader of theProduct DevelopmentEngineering-teams;handling internal and external escalations, driving continues improvement of engineering-systems,ensureengineeringknowledge-\data-management,capacityand capabilitymanagementthrough the identification ofskill gaps and setting up individual development plans to closethese,etc..are all part of youractivities. Beyond that,working closely withtheproduction-location(s)to ensure quality-, delivery-and cost-performancemeets TE-, customer- and general-marketexpectations-and- throughcooperating with Product Managementhelptoidentifying future needs of our product-lines, ensuring the innovations are ready when need-beis part of your day-to-day role.
