Job summary

Nobian in the Netherlands seeks an Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers and drive asset integrity across site operations. You will develop preventive maintenance plans, ensure regulatory compliance, and steer long‑term asset planning with risk-based spare parts strategies.

You will report to the Site Asset & Technology Manager, lead about 14 engineers, and join an international, ambitious environment with opportunities for part-time work (min 36 hours) and a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering.
• Proven experience in leading and developing engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of preventive maintenance and asset management.
• Flexibility to work part time (minimum 36 hours/week) and fluency in English & Dutch.

As an Engineering Manager, you maintain and enhance our site’s asset integrity. Your role involves developing and implementing preventive maintenance plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You lead a team of engineers, providing guidance and support to achieve optimal performance. Your technical expertise and leadership skills are crucial in solving complex engineering problems and ensuring the reliability and availability of our installations. You also play a key role in long‑term asset planning and managing risk‑based spare parts strategies. Your ability to balance immediate troubleshooting needs with strategic planning is essential for success in this role.

Your Responsibilities

• Leading, coaching, appraising and developing a team of engineers.
• Establishing appropriate preventive maintenance and inspection plans that satisfy regulatory and business needs and staying abreast of changes in Nobian and statutory requirements.
• Ensuring the reliability and availability of installations through continuous improvement of maintenance concepts.
• Providing engineering support for maintenance, projects, and turnarounds.
• Managing long‑term asset planning and risk‑based spare parts strategies.

You are part of the Site Asset Management & Technology team, reporting into the Site Asset & Technology Manager, and have a team of around 14 engineers reporting into you.

As Engineering Manager, you have a strong technical background and proven people management experience. Furthermore, you recognize yourself in the following:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering with several years of experience in a relevant field.
• Proven experience in leading and developing engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of preventive maintenance and asset management.
• Possibility to work part time (minimum 36 hours per week).
• Fluency in English & Dutch.
