Job summary

Doghouse Recruitment is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager for a growing SaaS company in Utrecht. You will lead an international team of 11 engineers through a key growth phase, balancing hands-on coding with people leadership and working closely with the tech lead and Product.

We value a track record of scaling teams, clear ownership, and improving delivery processes, with fluency in English and a background in C#/.NET, Azure, DevOps, Docker and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering.
• 3+ years managing engineering teams.
• Experience scaling, restructuring or splitting engineering teams.
• Hands-on mindset (approximately 50% management / 50% technical).
• Strong communication skills in English and the ability to connect technology, product and business.
• Background in C#/.NET and Azure; experience with DevOps, Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager for a growing SaaS organization in Utrecht. The company develops an innovative SaaS platform for the real estate sector, enabling real estate professionals to digitally manage and optimize their processes. The scalable product is used daily by more than 350 customers (In private & public sectors) in the real estate industry.

The international engineering team currently consists of 11 professionals and is entering an important next phase: transitioning from one team into two, and potentially three autonomous, cross-functional teams. You will work closely with the tech lead, who owns the technical direction, while you focusing on building high-performing teams!

We are looking for someone who has successfully guided this type of change before, someone who understands the challenges, has seen what can fail, and knows how to build high performing teams. As Engineering Manager, you will help shape the future engineering organization by creating more ownership, improving delivery and enabling teams to work more autonomously.

You will focus on:
