Job summary

TMC in Eindhoven is seeking a Mechanical Expert to develop and optimize heavy-duty engine hardware and mechanical systems. You will lead new component development, coordinate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, and drive SE across the product development cycle.

You will apply DFSS and structured problem solving (DMAIC), define validation plans, and ensure performance, reliability, manufacturability, and quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical or hardware development within a product development environment.
  • Experience with mechanical systems, component development, and engineering validation.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Professional proficiency in English; automotive industry experience is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of new engine components and improve existing designs.
  • Coordinate technical projects with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Lead Simultaneous Engineering (SE) teams throughout the product development cycle.
  • Translate project objectives into clear product requirements and technical specifications.
  • Drive DFSS activities and ensure quality throughout development.
  • Apply DMAIC to resolve technical challenges and define validation plans.
  • Monitor validation plans aligned with project milestones.
  • Ensure component performance regarding functionality, reliability, robustness, manufacturability, and quality.
  • Analyze test and validation results and present technical recommendations to management.
  • Contribute to the development of future engine platforms for heavy-duty transportation applications.
