Job summary

DAF - Dutch truck manufacturer is looking for a Mechanical Expert in Eindhoven to advance base engine development. You will coordinate design activities with internal teams and suppliers, drive SE processes, and translate goals into precise engine requirements while addressing complex technical issues.

You will manage validation plans and component releases, and present technical recommendations to upper management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in mechanical or hardware development within a product development environment.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Practical experience with problem-solving methodologies such as DMAIC and DFSS.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating the development and optimization of new and existing designs with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Leading Simultaneous Engineering (SE) teams and managing Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) deliverables.
• Translating project goals into precise product requirements and resolving complex issues using DMAIC principles.
• Managing validation plans and component releases in alignment with key project milestones.
• Preparing detailed technical recommendations and presenting findings to management.
