Job summary

Van Oord is seeking an experienced Communication Advisor for the Offshore Energy unit to connect strategy, stakeholders and execution. You will translate complex projects into clear, engaging messages and actively contribute to communication execution across channels.

You will work within the STS department, collaborating with colleagues on internal and external communications, public affairs and sustainability to strengthen Van Oord’s positioning during the energy transition.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's or master's degree, preferably in Communications or a related field.
• Extensive experience as a communication advisor in a corporate, business-to-business and/or business-to-government environment.
• Experience in a technical, project-driven or international sector is considered an advantage.
• Excellent command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong organisational and connecting skills, with the ability to maintain an overview and effectively bring together people, content and communication channels.
• The motivation to collaborate with colleagues, actively involve relevant expertise and build support for communication initiatives and decisions.

Responsibilities

• Developing communication and stakeholder engagement plans aligned with the priorities of the Offshore Energy business unit.
• Translating strategic themes into clear and compelling messages for a variety of internal and external audiences.
• Managing communication projects from start to finish, including the communication approach for exhibitions, events and key external moments.
• Developing content, copy and visual materials that effectively convey the desired message.
• Coordinating communication activities and aligning project and programme planning through the communication calendar.
