Job summary

Fluence Energy B.V. is seeking a Project Engineer to coordinate and manage engineering activities for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and power infrastructure projects across the EMEA region.

The role ensures on-time delivery, budget compliance, and adherence to safety and quality standards while interfacing with internal teams, external partners, subcontractors and customers. The position requires collaboration across civil, electrical, network, and permitting disciplines; travel within

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in engineering, project engineering, or project execution within the power, renewable energy, battery storage, or utility sectors.
• Experience designing or supporting utility-scale power systems, photovoltaic plants, battery energy storage systems, or related infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) project execution.
• Familiarity with applicable electrical codes, industry standards, and regulations within the EMEA region.
• Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Professional proficiency in English.
• Additional European language skills are considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage engineering activities for BESS and power infrastructure projects across the EMEA region.
• Manage external engineering firms, subcontractors, and internal engineering disciplines to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
• Ensure engineering deliverables comply with contractual requirements and design standards.
• Lead internal and external design review meetings throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review designs to ensure alignment with project requirements and contractual commitments.
• Travel within the EMEA region to support project execution and stakeholder engagement.
