As a Mid-level Consultant at CFP Green Buildings, you help clients make their buildings and property portfolios more energy-efficient, healthier and more circular. You turn analysis into practical advice and support clients in achieving their sustainability ambitions.

Job Opening: Energy Consultant
What will you do?

As part of CFP's consultancy team, you work on sustainability projects for a wide range of clients, from offices and schools to healthcare institutions and government organisations. You manage your own projects and property portfolios, working with colleagues on solutions tailored to each client’s buildings and ambitions.

You carry out site visits, inspections and analyses to identify opportunities for improving sustainability and saving energy. You translate your findings into clear reports and practical recommendations on energy, circularity, health and building performance.

You also support clients with certifications such as BREEAM, WELL and energy labels. Through energy management, monitoring and data analysis, you help improve energy performance. You also support the implementation of technical innovations.

You independently keep track of your projects and coordinate with clients and other stakeholders. You move easily between in-depth analysis, client conversations and discussions with colleagues.

  • As a senior consultant, you lead complex projects, coach colleagues and actively contribute to the development of the team and the organisation.
  • As a medior consultant, you already take on projects or parts of projects independently and occasionally guide junior colleagues;
  • As a junior consultant, you grow into the role step by step, supported by experienced colleagues;
Your key responsibilities as an Energy Consultant:
  • Independently managing sustainability improvement projects for buildings and property portfolios;
  • Carrying out site visits, inspections and analyses to identify opportunities for improving sustainability and saving energy;
  • Advising on measures relating to energy, circularity, health and building performance;
  • Supporting certifications such as BREEAM, WELL and energy labels;
  • Preparing energy assessments, CO₂ analyses and sustainability reports;
  • Monitoring and improving energy performance through energy management and data analysis, and supporting the implementation of technical innovations;
  • Sharing knowledge through workshops, training sessions and stakeholder discussions, and contributing to the development of tools, methodologies and project approaches.

We encourage flexible working, whether from our office in Naarden (or Apeldoorn), from home or, of course, at a client’s premises.

You will also receive:
  • A gross monthly salary of between €3.500,- and €5.000,-, depending on your knowledge and experience;
  • A lease car, a laptop and a phone or phone allowance;

  • Plenty of scope to shape your own personal development path.
To make your working days even more enjoyable:

  • A walk along Naarden marina or around Apenheul in Apeldoorn is part of our daily routine;
  • Colleagues enjoy challenging each other to a game of football or padel, or heading out on a boat together;
  • We organise an annual sailing regatta and other events of our own, giving you plenty of opportunities to get to know your colleagues and partners.
What do you bring?
  • At least two years of relevant experience in real estate and sustainability;
  • A degree from a university of applied sciences or a research university;
  • Knowledge of real estate and sustainability, and experience in preparing analyses and advisory reports;
  • Preferably experience in smart energy, energy flexibility, and grid congestion;
  • Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail;

  • A proactive approach: you take initiative and contribute ideas for solutions;
  • Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach that helps you build lasting relationships;
  • A flexible, solution-focused mindset, even when circumstances within a project change.

In addition, you:

  • Are available for 40 hours per week (fewer hours can be discussed);
  • Hold a driving licence, as you will also travel to clients’ premises;
  • Live in the Randstad or between the Randstad and Apeldoorn;
