Job summary

Medtronic Netherlands is seeking a Finance Controllership Assistant to support the EMEA Controllership. You will act as the first point of contact for the department, coordinating meetings, managing agendas, and connecting with internal employees and external stakeholders in a dynamic, international environment.

You will contribute to departmental processes and events, requiring strong organization, English proficiency, and MS Office skills; SAP/ERP knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• MBO+ or HBO Bachelor degree in a related field.
• Strong problem-solving and prioritization skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Management support for finance leadership: assist with day-to-day activities, agendas and meetings.
• Departmental operational processes: support cost center management, PO processes, distribution lists, and internal/external communications; help organize meetings and events to reinforce culture.
• Project coordination: lead or co-lead projects to continuously improve department processes.

You are the heartbeat of Medtronic EMEA Controllership organization. The support activities you'll provide to its directors are instrumental in keeping the organization running smoothly. As the first point of contact for the department, you will connect with all its stakeholders: ranging from internal Medtronic employees to various external customers and vendors. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Management support for finance leadership: support the finance directors with their day-to-day activities and administrative obligations. This includes managing various agendas and scheduling meetings.
• Departmental operational processes: support the overall finance department processes. This encompasses cost center management, purchase order management, maintaining departmental distribution lists and other communication channels to ensure all relevant information is shared within the organization. Moreover, you will help organize departmental meetings, events and employee celebrations to champion and reinforce our inclusive culture.
• Project coordination: Lead or co-lead various projects to continuously improve departmental processes.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• MBO+ level of education/ HBO (Bachelor degree)
• A problem-solving mindset with an ability to work independently by setting priorities
• Strong organization and prioritization skills
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and good proficiency in English language due to the international environment
• Computer literacy (MS Office applications and preferably SAP/ ERP)
