Job summary

Google is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to advise on Cloud-related agreements and regulatory compliance across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. You will draft terms, enablement materials, and templates to accelerate engagements with GCC, FDE, and Security Sales teams.

You will collaborate with sales, product, and marketing teams to ensure legal compliance and support cross-border go-to-market initiatives, including litigation support as needed.

Qualifications

• JD, LL.B., equivalent degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Admitted to the bar and in good standing or authorized to practice law in the state where the position is located.
• 3 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm.
• Experience counseling and negotiating on professional services, security or other cloud commercial offerings.
• Ability to communicate in English fluently with clients in the region.

Responsibilities

• Advise EMEA Cloud Consulting (GCC), Forward Deployed Engineers (FDE) and Security Sales teams on strategy and legal compliance. Draft templates, terms, playbooks, and enablement materials to accelerate consulting and FDE engagements.
• Scale legal support by training and enabling sellers, legal colleagues and other key stakeholders to support agreement making effectively. Take on projects to support and negotiate general Cloud Go-To-Market needs.
• Answer a variety of legal requests from Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Product, and other Google business clients and Legal colleagues across Europe, Middle-East and Africa (EMEA) and the United States.
• Advise on the compliance of Google products with specific local laws. Support litigation cases and regulatory investigations as needed.
• Develop deep experience in a range of Google products and build effective relationships with business clients and legal colleagues in our various international offices.
