Enter Group in Eindhoven seeks an Embedded System Owner to coordinate hardware and software development for BEV/PHEV powertrains. You will own the Embedded Control Unit (ECU) and drive risk analyses, validation plans, and cross-functional collaboration with suppliers and international teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Embedded Systems, or Electrical Engineering.
• 3+ years in control system or embedded system development, automotive preferred.
• At least 2 years in a coordinating technical role; project lead is a plus.
• Experience with supplier management and external engineering partners.
• Knowledge of the V-cycle development process; DFSS is a plus.
• Strong analytical, proactive, and stakeholder management skills; good English.

Job description

Are you experienced in embedded systems and ready to take ownership of the development of complex control systems for electric and hybrid vehicles? In this role, you will coordinate hardware and software development and play a key role in the development of next-generation Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) and Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) powertrains.

What will you be doing?

As an Embedded System Owner, you will coordinate the hardware and software development activities for your Embedded System and take ownership of the development and integration of Embedded Control Units within BEV and PHEV powertrain systems.

You will initiate and define risk analyses and validation plans and create, monitor and report on project plans for both hardware and software development. Throughout the development process, you will ensure that technical definitions remain aligned with the defined architectures and strategies, while proactively identifying and addressing potential discrepancies.

In addition, you will manage suppliers and coordinate technical activities with both internal and external stakeholders. You will closely monitor project progress in terms of Quality, Cost, Timing and Performance (QCTP) and provide clear reporting on the status and potential risks.

You will organize and participate in supplier and internal project meetings and play an important role in facilitating effective communication and decision-making between multidisciplinary engineering teams.

What do we expect from you?

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Embedded Systems, Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical field.
• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in control system or embedded system development, preferably within the automotive industry.
• At least 2 years of experience in a coordinating technical role; experience as a Project Lead is considered an advantage.
• Experience with supplier management and working with external engineering partners.
• Knowledge of embedded system development processes according to the V-cycle.
• Knowledge of Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) methodology is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to critically assess technical solutions.
• A proactive attitude and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary and international teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Good command of the English language.

Working as an Embedded System Owner through ENTER

As an Embedded System Owner, you will work within an international Embedded Engineering environment in Eindhoven. You will be part of an experienced System Engineering team responsible for developing advanced embedded solutions for powertrain and vehicle control applications.

In this position, you take ownership of an Embedded Control Unit (ECU) and coordinate the associated hardware and software development activities. You operate at the intersection of engineering, project coordination and supplier management, ensuring that technical solutions meet the required quality, cost, timing and performance targets.

You will work closely with hardware and software engineers, suppliers, project leads and other stakeholders in an international engineering environment.
