Job summary

Progressive is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to contribute to next‑generation medical devices and connected healthcare solutions. You will drive the full software lifecycle from requirements to release in a hybrid on‑site setting in Eindhoven region.

The role requires deep C/C++ expertise on embedded platforms, Cortex-M0 experience, and familiarity with ISO 13485/IEC 62304 compliant environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of embedded software development experience.
• Strong C++ development on embedded platforms.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design and SOLID principles.
• Familiarity with Cortex-M0 microcontrollers.
• Experience with modern software tooling: Git, CI/CD, and scripting.
• Knowledge of connectivity technologies (BLE, Wi‑Fi, Cellular) is a plus.
• Experience in regulated environments (ISO 13485, IEC 62304) is highly favorable.

The Role

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded software for advanced medical devices.
• Participate in requirements definition, architecture, implementation, testing, and release activities.
• Develop automated unit tests and integration tests.

• Contribute to sprint planning, estimations, and backlog management.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded software development.
• Strong experience with C++ development on embedded platforms.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Design and SOLID principles.
• Experience with Cortex M0 microcontrollers is a must.
• Proficient with CMake, testing frameworks, software quality tooling and possibly Hardware-in-loop.
• Knowledge of connectivity technologies such as BLE, Wi-Fi, and Cellular communication is a plus.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, Docker, and scripting.
• Experience with regulated environments is a very strong plus, preferably knowledge of ISO 13485 and IEC 62304.
