Job summary

Progressive is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to contribute to next‑generation medical devices and connected healthcare solutions. You will drive the full software lifecycle from requirements to release in a hybrid on‑site setting in Eindhoven region.

The role requires deep C/C++ expertise on embedded platforms, Cortex-M0 experience, and familiarity with ISO 13485/IEC 62304 compliant environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of embedded software development experience.
• Strong C++ development on embedded platforms.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design and SOLID principles.
• Familiarity with Cortex-M0 microcontrollers.
• Experience with modern software tooling: Git, CI/CD, and scripting.
• Knowledge of connectivity technologies (BLE, Wi‑Fi, Cellular) is a plus.
• Experience in regulated environments (ISO 13485, IEC 62304) is highly favorable.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded software for medical devices.
• Contribute to requirements, architecture, design, implementation, testing and release.
• Develop automated unit and integration tests.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and processes.
• Participate in design and code reviews and sprint planning.
• Document software solutions and communicate progress with stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with software, systems, and hardware engineers.
