Sioux Group in Delft is seeking an Embedded Software Designer to develop and test software for high-tech products and machines. You’ll work on real-time embedded software from bare-metal to Embedded Linux, using C/C++ and Python, collaborating with cross-functional teams near TU Delft.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer engineering, Embedded Systems, or similar.
• 5+ years hands-on embedded C/C++ software development experience.
• Strong grasp of real-time systems and safety-critical software.
• Passion for code quality, performance, and safety.
• Knowledge of hardware and communication protocols (UART, SPI, CAN, I2C).
• Curiosity about new technologies and tools.
• Fluent in English and Dutch.

Responsibilities

• Develop bare-metal embedded software in C and C++.
• Create automated tests in Python.
• Work with real-time OS like FreeRTOS, Zephyr, Embedded Linux.
• Design and implement state machines and real-time logic.
• Integrate communication protocols such as UART, SPI, CAN, I2C.
• Apply Functional Safety standards (IEC 61508, SIL) and MISRA coding guidelines.
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams focused on knowledge sharing and technical excellence.
