Job summary

SunLED Life Science is seeking an electronics engineer to drive prototype development and bring cutting-edge near-infrared technology from sketches to working demos. You will collaborate with designers, scientists and partners to turn ideas into tangible devices and ensure successful progression toward MVPs and production.

Qualifications

• Up to 10 years of experience as an electronics engineer in lighting, consumer electronics, or related industry.
• Knowledge of power electronics, control theory, and mixed-signal design. Proficient in simulation tools for analysis.
• Familiar with optical devices (LEDs/lasers), sensor tech, wireless protocols, and microprocessor peripherals.
• Experience writing embedded software for microcontroller-based applications and hardware-software integration.
• Proven hands-on experience in prototyping, testing, and validating electronic systems; strong problem-solving skills.
• Expertise in signal integrity design and PCB layouts to minimize noise and EMI; proficient in Altium and KiCad.
• Knowledge of design for manufacturability, reliability, quality control, and pre-compliance testing (CE/UL/FCC/EMI).
• Ability to communicate technical details with partners, suppliers, and design agencies.
• Curious, flexible mindset; ability to work in a multicultural, interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Develop demos, proofs-of-technology, and demo devices from sketches to execution with product teams.
• Contribute to DFM and align with production partners as prototypes move toward mass production.
• Guide partner engineers to ensure final products meet requirements in joint development.
• Collaborate across disciplines; share ideas, findings, and solve cross-domain problems.
• Contribute to IP through technical inventions and patents.
