Job summary

Electrical Project Manager – HV Substations & Grid Projects

We are looking for an experienced Freelance Electrical Project Manager to join a major client in Utrecht, supporting a portfolio of HV substation and electrical grid projects.

Location: Utrecht, Netherlands

Contract: Freelance, 12 months initially, with extension, 40h per week

Working Arrangement: Hybrid / 2-3 days a week in office

Key Responsibilities

• Manage major projects from planning through to delivery.
• Coordinate contractors, engineering teams, suppliers and key stakeholders.
• Oversee project scope, programme, budget, quality and safety.
• Provide technical and project leadership across HV substation and grid projects.
• Manage interfaces relating to switchgear, transformers, protection and substation systems.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing HV electrical, substation or grid projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of HV switchgear, transformers and substations.
• Experience working with contractors, utilities, TSOs/DSOs or major energy clients.
• 5-10 years project management experience
• Fluent Dutch and English.
• Available for a long-term freelance assignment in the Netherlands.
