Job summary

Hitachi Energy is looking for a Secondary Engineer to design and deliver secondary systems for high- and medium-voltage substations in Rotterdam. The role involves producing engineering deliverables, specifying equipment, and supporting installation and testing.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and has over 4 years of relevant experience. The position offers a hybrid working model with competitive benefits including a pension plan and 40 days PTO.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience in secondary engineering for substations or industrial power systems.
• Proficient with protection concepts like IEC 61850 and relay configuration.
• Fluency in English; Dutch is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Produce secondary engineering deliverables such as SLDs and wiring diagrams.
• Specify and select equipment like protection relays and switchgear.
• Manage suppliers and perform factory acceptance tests.
