Job summary

Ask Phill in Amsterdam seeks an experienced E-commerce Manager to lead multiple client accounts, translate business goals into actionable e-commerce strategies, and collaborate with our design, development and consulting teams. You will blend hands-on platform expertise with strategic client relationships in a fast-moving agency environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years hands-on e-commerce experience across roles

We're looking for an E-commerce Manager with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our creative team in Amsterdam. We're an award-winning digital agency and Europe's leading Shopify Platinum Partner. We focus on strategy, design and development in the e-commerce industry, with a client base of international fashion, lifestyle and beauty brands.

As an E-commerce Manager at Ask Phill, you are the person who thinks like our clients. You bring real e-commerce experience to the table, which means you understand what it actually takes to run an online store, manage a brand, and grow a business. That knowledge is what makes you valuable to the clients you work with.

You will manage multiple client accounts at the same time, acting as their strategic partner throughout the entire e-commerce journey. You are the person who spots opportunities, asks the right questions, and translates business goals into concrete actions. You work closely with our designers, developers, and consultants to make sure projects get delivered, and you keep clients informed and confident every step of the way.

You do not just manage projects. You bring perspective. You know what good looks like because you have lived it, and that is exactly what our clients need.

Job requirements

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on e-commerce experience, either as an e-commerce manager, brand-side operator, or in a similar role
• Strong working knowledge of Shopify, ideally Shopify Plus
• Experience managing multiple projects or accounts simultaneously
• Deep understanding of the e-commerce landscape, particularly in fashion, lifestyle, and beauty
• Solid technical knowledge of Shopify Plus capabilities, apps, integrations, and platform architectureExperience using AI tools to enhance workflow
• Strong communication skills, comfortable with senior stakeholders
• Ability to translate business challenges into actionable solutions
• A strategic mindset with a practical, delivery-focused approach
