Job summary

The International School of The Hague seeks a Cover Supervisor to join our dedicated team. You will step into the secondary classroom during teacher absences, ensuring learning continues smoothly, safely, and with purpose. No subject specialization required, just strong classroom management and genuine care for student success.

Role is 40 hours/week, 08:15–16:45, with two contract options (temporary and longer-term). Benefits include CAO VO Scale 6 pay, holidays and pension support.

Qualifications

• In-depth classroom management and ability to maintain discipline in a diverse setting.
• Strong communication with students, parents, and colleagues in an international school.
• Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and student wellbeing.
• Experience supporting SEND and EAL learners is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise secondary classes using prepared plans and resources.
• Set expectations, monitor progress, and maintain a respectful learning environment.
• Assist students with additional needs and uphold safeguarding policies.
• Register attendance and provide feedback to teachers.
