Job summary

A2G Consulting BV (A2G Technologies) is seeking a seasoned Domain Expert to define and standardize developer workstation environments across Windows and macOS. You will lead tooling, automation, and governance efforts to improve productivity and security for engineering teams.

The role requires 6–8 years of experience, strong knowledge of IDEs, Git workflows, and container tooling. A hybrid Amsterdam-based arrangement with 2 days from home and 3 days in office is offered, with a 12-month

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
• Strong expertise in Windows and macOS developer workstation environments.
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, and JetBrains IDEs.
• Knowledge of Git, GitHub Enterprise, and Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Docker Desktop and local Kubernetes development platforms.
• Expertise in developer software provisioning, configuration, and workspace automation.
• Strong understanding of endpoint security, access controls, compliance, and workspace governance.
• Knowledge of MFA, PAM, certificate-based authentication, and Conditional Access.
• Strong problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain developer workspace strategies and standards across Windows and macOS.
• Design standardized, scalable, and repeatable development environments.
• Govern the provisioning, configuration, and version management of IDEs, SDKs, runtime environments, package managers, plugins, and extensions.
• Design automated processes for developer workstation setup and configuration.
• Establish and maintain security controls, compliance standards, and workspace governance.
• Support secure access mechanisms, including MFA, Privileged Access Management (PAM), certificate-based authentication, and Conditional Access.
• Govern development toolchains and ensure consistency, compatibility, and security across engineering teams.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering, Cybersecurity, and EUC teams to improve developer productivity and experience.

Preferred Experience

• Experience standardizing enterprise development environments and improving developer productivity through automation.
• Familiarity with enterprise device management and secure development workspace practices.
