Job summary

BusyBoat in Amsterdam is hiring a guest-facing dock host to blend hospitality, dock operations and active selling of boat-tour tickets. No prior boating experience required, just a strong personality and a knack for connecting with people.

You will welcome guests, explain tour options, and confidently close sales while keeping the dock tidy and coordinating with skippers. Fluent English is essential; Dutch preferred. Flexible days 11:00–23:00 with base pay plus commission up to €320 daily.

Qualifications

• Friendly, energetic and easy to approach.
• Confident starting conversations with strangers.
• Commercial instinct with ability to close a sale.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
• Strong English; Dutch is preferred.
• Legally able to work as a self-employed professional in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests, check them in and help them board safely.
• Explain tour options and provide clear practical information.
• Approach passing tourists and confidently sell boat-tour tickets.
• Keep the dock organised and coordinate with skippers and the dock team.
