Job summary

DeWarmte is building the connected intelligence behind smart heat pumps and digital products. You will own the Django backend that powers our web apps, customer app and internal tools, ensuring reliability and scalable performance as we grow.

You’ll work across APIs, data services and integrations with external platforms, applying AI tools where appropriate while maintaining secure, maintainable production code. Join a fast-moving team shaping the energy transition.

Qualifications

• Solid hands-on backend engineering experience with production systems.
• Deep Python and Django expertise including the ORM and REST APIs.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, data modelling, queries and migrations.
• Experience with background processing, queues or event streaming.
• Ability to apply CI/CD, automated testing and observability practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve the Django backend for web, customer and employee apps.
• Design, build, test and deploy APIs and services that connect with heat pumps and data platforms.
• Improve performance, security and data integrity of the backend.
• Diagnose and fix cross-system issues spanning backend, data platform and devices.
