Job summary

Albert Heijn is seeking an experienced Disaster Recovery Specialist to strengthen resilience within the Reliability team. You will collaborate with technology, security, operations, compliance, and business teams to design DR strategies, runbooks, and governance frameworks, and to drive end-to-end recovery initiatives.

The role is hands-on, requiring ownership to build programs from the ground up and to deliver practical improvements that enhance resilience and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of continuous experience in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Crisis Management, or related fields.
• Proven track record implementing resilience programs at scale.
• Experience with resilience concepts (RTO, RPO, MTD, MBCO) and DR controls.

Responsibilities

• Define DR strategy with scope, objectives, and governance; align with stakeholders.
• Author and maintain DR runbooks, recovery procedures, and escalation paths.
• Lead tabletop exercises and failover drills; document results and drive remediation.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, and compliance to improve resilience.
