Job summary

TNO seeks a seasoned Director of IT to shape the organisation's digital future within BIOS. You will lead Information Services, drive ERP transformation, GenAI adoption, and elevate governance, security and service quality across the IT landscape.

Deputising at executive level, you will translate strategy into a clear IT vision, build a proactive, agile team and partner with BIOS and business units to deliver measurable value while ensuring continuity and user satisfaction.

Qualifications

• A proven track record in executive IT leadership.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in IT, information services and digitalisation.
• Experience transforming large IT or digital service organisations.
• Strategic expertise across IT, AI, cybersecurity, compliance, digital sovereignty and business operations.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an organisation-wide vision for information services and IT landscape.
• Set direction and priorities across major IT transformation initiatives (ERP, digitalisation, GenAI).
• Safeguard the quality, continuity and security of IT services (cybersecurity, architecture, governance).
• Improve focus, efficiency and transparency across the IT portfolio with KPI-driven management.
• Strengthen collaboration between IS, BIOS units and external partners.
