Job summary

IFF Health & Biosciences seeks a strategic leader for Director of Contract Manufacturing. You will own the external manufacturing network, drive resilience, quality, and value, and shape long-term partnerships across Health & Biosciences.

Based in Leiden, Brugge, or Lyngby, you will lead make-vs-buy decisions, governance, and capacity planning, building a high‑performing team that delivers reliable supply and competitive advantage.

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership experience across manufacturing, supply chain, external manufacturing, and operational excellence environments.
• Proven ability to translate complex challenges into actionable strategies and business outcomes.
• Experience working with suppliers and contract manufacturers, with exposure to contract management, governance, auditing, and risk mitigation best practices.
• Demonstrated success influencing stakeholders and driving alignment across functions, regions, and organizational levels.
• Strategic mindset with strong execution, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead contract manufacturing strategy, performance, and risk management, driving operational excellence across the external manufacturing network.
• Develop sourcing and negotiation strategies for new and existing manufacturing partnerships, supporting key commercial and contractual decisions.
• Ensure external manufacturing partners deliver capacity, capability, quality, and service levels to meet evolving business needs.
