Job summary

Harnham is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design and scale Azure-based infrastructure for a Data and AI team on a 3-month contract. You will implement IaC with Bicep and Terraform, build Databricks environments, and develop CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, with PowerShell and Azure CLI automation.

The role focuses on delivering robust, automated cloud environments, improving deployment processes, and driving DevOps best practices across the platform.

Qualifications

• Hands-on DevOps Engineer with Azure cloud experience.
• Experience designing, deploying, and managing Azure infrastructure.
• IaC experience using Bicep and Terraform.
• Proven ability to build Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Automation skills using PowerShell and Azure CLI.
• Strong understanding of cloud infra performance, security, monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code solutions using Bicep and Terraform within Azure.
• Build, manage, and optimise Azure cloud infrastructure to support data and application workloads.
• Develop and optimise Databricks environment.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps to enable efficient and reliable deployments.
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell and Azure CLI to streamline operational processes.
• Support the deployment, monitoring, and optimisation of Azure services including compute, storage, networking, and security.
• Collaborate with engineering, data, and platform teams to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions.

• Strong hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer within Azure cloud environments
• Proven experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure in Azure
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code using Bicep and Terraform
• Demonstrated expertise building and managing Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to automate and optimise workflows using PowerShell and Azure CLI
• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure performance, security, monitoring, and optimisation
• Experience supporting Databricks and data platform environments
