Job summary

Pon Datalab is hiring a DevOps engineer who will own the full lifecycle of solutions, from design to deployment and operations. You will act as the main contact for Pon companies on the DevOps platform and collaborate with developers and engineers within the Technology Innovation team.

You bring a Bachelor in CS, 5+ years of programming and IT operations experience, and strong English and Dutch communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Programming/Systems, or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of programming experience
• Experience working in applications, systems, or IT operations
• Experience with an agile team environment and processes
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Working knowledge of two or more programming languages, preferably Go, Rust, or C++
• Affinity with or proficiency in using and administering DevOps tooling
• Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch
• You must be a resident of the Netherlands

Responsibilities

Your role:

As a Devops engineer, you are involved in the full life cycle of a solution and are responsible for the design and implementation of build, release, deployment, testing, and operations. You are the contact person for the Pon companies regarding questions on the DevOps platform and applications. As part of the Technology Innovation team, you work closely with developers and engineers in the Pon companies. The Technology Innovation team consists of 18 people and is part of Pon Datalab (60 FTE). You will report to the Lead Gen AI and Devops.

Your key tasks:

• Use and maintain tools, services, and applications such as Jira, Github, Cloudflare, AWS, and GCP
• Drive quality solutions aligned with Pon's architectural standards, including security, and create value for Pon and customers
• Take ownership of solutions' build, release, deployment, testing, and operationMonitor production software
• Help refine your team's backlog by identifying and estimating your own tasks
• Deliver the points you have estimated in every sprint in line with the Definition of Done

Success is measured by customer satisfaction, collaboration with other teams, product stability and quality, and the realization of the digital roadmap.
