Job summary

EMEA Recruitment is partnering with an international engineering organization seeking a Development Engineer to join its growing R&D team in the Netherlands. This role emphasizes hands-on electrical design from concept through prototype testing, with a strong focus on practical problem-solving and bringing innovative solutions to life.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or Mechatronics and has 3–5 years in product development.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics or related discipline.
3–5 years' experience in product development or R&D.
Knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, ideally including power electronics or electric drives.
Experience with electrical schematics, CAD tools and technical documentation.
Fluent English; MATLAB or CAN protocols knowledge advantageous.

Responsibilities

Develop electrical and electronic designs, schematics and technical specifications
Support new product development from concept through to prototyping and testing
Conduct technical testing, troubleshooting and validation activities
Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external suppliers
Ensure designs meet relevant technical, quality and safety standards
Contribute to continuous improvement and product innovation
