Job summary

Philips International in Best (Netherlands) seeks a Development Engineer 1D Grids to translate customer and engineering requirements into robust, manufacturable designs for advanced medical device components and to drive NPI and BOM activities.

You will collaborate across functions—engineering, operations, marketing, suppliers—and own tooling concepts, process improvements, and quality compliance in a regulated healthcare environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering required.
3–5 years of NPI and/or design for manufacturing experience in an R&D environment.
Experience with manufacturing, prototyping and post-processing processes.
Familiar with Quality & Regulatory requirements in a regulated environment.
Strong product development lifecycle management, documentation and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to optimize designs for manufacturability in Best.
Translate customer requirements into practical, reliable, and scalable manufacturing solutions.
Design tooling and technical solutions that support efficient, high-quality manufacturing.
Drive continuous improvement of production processes to enhance quality, yield, and cost effectiveness.
Develop and improve Bill of Materials content for current and future product generations.
