Villeroy & Boch invites a motivated Design Engineer to lead product development from concept to series production. You will craft precise 3D CAD models, assess manufacturability, and drive designs through industrialization with Production, Quality, and external partners.

Strong Dutch and English language skills enable effective cross-functional collaboration. You will own the design process, support prototypes and ramp-ups, and deliver complete technical documentation to enable timely production

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Alternatively, vocational training as Technical Product Designer with relevant experience.
• Solid experience in 3D CAD design, preferably Creo.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes from concept to production.
• Structured, solution-oriented work style with effective cross-functional communication.
• Good Dutch and English language skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develop products from the initial design concept through to production readiness and series production.
• Create precise 3D models of products, production models, tools, and manufacturing aids, considering functionality and cost.
• Analyze technical challenges and implement modifications to reach final series approval.
• Collaborate with Production, Product Management, Quality, Toolmaking and external partners to drive changes through development cycles.
• Support prototypes, pilot production, and ramp-ups to ensure manufacturability in series production locations.
• Create technical documentation, drawings, and CAD data and ensure timely availability.

Your responsibilities – Develop, design, and bring products into series production

• Product development with ownership: You develop our products from the initial design concept through to production readiness and take technical responsibility throughout the entire development process.
• Technical design and engineering: You create precise 3D models of products, production models, tools, and manufacturing aids, taking into account functionality, design, manufacturability, and cost.
• Product optimization: You analyze technical challenges, independently develop solutions, and implement necessary product and tooling modifications through to final series approval.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Together with Production, Product Management, Quality, Toolmaking, and external partners, you discuss, evaluate, and implement technical changes and confidently drive your projects through all development cycles.
• Industrialization: You support prototypes, pilot production, and production ramp-ups, ensuring that our products can be successfully manufactured in series in our wellness manufacturing locations.
• Documentation and data management: You create technical documentation, drawings, and CAD data and ensure their complete and timely availability.

Your profile – What you bring

• You have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Development, Engineering Design, or a comparable field. Alternatively, you have completed vocational training as a Technical Product Designer and gained relevant professional experience in Design Engineering.
• You have solid experience in 3D CAD design, ideally with PTC Creo, and enjoy developing technical solutions independently.
• You think beyond pure design and have a good understanding of manufacturing processes and the path from product concept to series production.
• You work in a structured and solution-oriented manner and communicate confidently with different functions and stakeholders.
• You have good Dutch and English language skills.
