Job summary

Monks seeks a Design Director to lead an embedded design and motion team, working in person with client stakeholders to ensure continuity and high craft across shifts and deliverables.

You will translate established brand guidelines into actionable direction, mentor designers, and collaborate with AI specialists to improve workflows while delivering polished editorial and marketing content at speed.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in design, art direction or creative direction.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams and high-volume work.
• Familiarity with brand systems, component libraries and scalable design frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day creative leadership for the embedded design and motion team.
• Maintain continuity and a consistent creative standard across locations, shifts and workstreams.
• Translate brand guidelines and design systems into clear direction.
• Ensure work is cohesive and tailored to audience and channel.
• Review and guide digital, web, editorial, presentation, graphic and motion deliverables.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders to clarify creative direction and feedback.
