Job summary

LONGi Solar is seeking a BESS Delivery & Service Manager / Engineer (C&I) to own and deliver Commercial & Industrial battery energy storage projects from contract handover through installation, commissioning and after-sales service.

You will coordinate with sales, presales, EPC partners and suppliers, manage end-to-end delivery, ensure safety and quality, supervise commissioning activities, and provide ongoing technical support and maintenance planning.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering or Renewable Energy.
• 3–7 years of experience in renewable energy, BESS, solar + storage, or power systems.
• Experience in C&I energy storage or distributed energy projects preferred.
• Understanding of BESS components (battery systems, EMS/monitoring systems).
• Experience in project delivery or field engineering.

Responsibilities

• Take over BESS projects from the sales and presales teams after contract signing.
• Develop project execution plans including timelines, resource planning, and site coordination.
• Manage end-to-end delivery of C&I BESS projects.
• Coordinate with EPC partners, installers and subcontractors for system installation.
• Lead or support BESS commissioning activities: system testing, EMS/PCS/BMS integration, grid connection.
• Provide technical support and service coordination after commissioning.
• Manage maintenance schedules and service activities.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and coordinate with OEMs or suppliers.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Document progress and track project updates.

BESS Delivery & Service Manager / Engineer – C&I Projects

Position Overview

The BESS Delivery & Service Manager / Engineer (C&I) is responsible for the successful delivery, commissioning, and lifecycle support of Commercial & Industrial Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects after the project is secured by the sales and presales teams.

This role takes full ownership of the project from contract handover through installation, commissioning, and after-sales service, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and according to technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Handover & Planning

• Take over BESS projects from the sales and presales teams after contract signing.
• Review technical proposals, system configurations, and commercial scope.
• Develop project execution plans including timelines, resource planning, and site coordination.
• Confirm system design and project requirements with internal teams and customers.

2. Project Delivery & Implementation

• Manage the end-to-end delivery of C&I BESS projects.
• Coordinate with EPC partners, installers, and subcontractors for system installation.
• Ensure project milestones are achieved according to schedule and budget.
• Monitor site work and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Manage equipment logistics, delivery, and installation activities.
• Lead or support BESS commissioning activities, including:
• System functional testing
• EMS / PCS / BMS integration
• Grid connection and verification
• Work with engineering teams to resolve technical issues during commissioning.
• Ensure the system operates according to performance specifications.
• Provide technical support and service coordination after project commissioning.
• Manage maintenance schedules and service activities.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and coordinate with OEMs or suppliers if needed.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Operation and maintenance manuals
• Track project progress and provide regular internal updates.

Qualifications
