Job summary

Hiscox is seeking a Delegated Authority Project Manager to lead the setup and ongoing management of delegated authority activities across the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. You will coordinate with Underwriting, Sales, Operations and Technology to implement delegated authority solutions in line with regulatory and internal standards.

Qualifications

• Certification as a delegated agent (Delegated Authority Diploma).
• Relevant professional experience in delegated authority, underwriting operations, insurance operations or a comparable field.
• Strong understanding of delegated authority business models, controls and governance.
• Familiarity with developments in the Dutch delegated authority market.

• Carry out administrative setup activities for delegated agents and amendments.
• Support implementation of delegated authority arrangements in line with underwriting requirements.
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Sales, Operations and Technology to enable compliant solutions.
• Support data delivery processes, system integrations or manual workflows for delegated authority.
• Apply delegated authority standards, controls and governance across countries.
• Contribute to audits, governance reviews and risk management.
• Identify risks and dependencies affecting delegated authority activities and escalate appropriately.
• Monitor progress and prepare governance reports.

The Delegated Authority Project Manager supports the execution, implementation and ongoing management of delegated authority activities in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. The role includes responsibility for setting up new delegated authorities and ensuring that related activities are organised efficiently and compliantly, in line with Hiscox underwriting, operational and regulatory standards and those of the respective country where the delegated authority is established. Carry out administrative setup activities, such as amendments, reinstatements, cancellations and improvements for delegated agents, as assigned by the Delegated Authority Lead. Support the implementation of delegated authority arrangements and agreements in accordance with underwriting, operational and regulatory requirements. Work closely with Underwriting, Sales, Operations and Technology teams to enable compliant delegated authority solutions. Support the operational execution of delegated authority activities through data delivery processes, system integrations or manual workflows. Consistently apply established delegated authority standards, controls and governance frameworks across different countries. Contribute to audits, supervisory reviews and other governance-related activities. Identify, manage and escalated operational risks, issues and dependencies that affect the execution of delegated authority activities. Monitor project progress and prepare reports for governance and decision-making forums. Support the continuous improvement of delegated authority processes and ways of working. Act as the day-to-day operational point of contact for delegated authority-related matters within cross-functional initiatives.

Certification as a delegated agent (Delegated Authority Diploma). Relevant professional experience in delegated authority, underwriting operations, insurance operations or a comparable field. Thorough understanding of delegated authority business models, controls and governance. Familiarity with developments in the Dutch delegated authority market (such as NVGA Protocol 2.0, AFD definitions, etc.). Demonstrable experience working effectively with multidisciplinary stakeholders (Underwriting, Sales, Operations and Technology). Good knowledge of audit, risk and compliance aspects. Strong execution, planning and project delivery skills. Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written. Proactive, reliable and accountable for results. Structured, pragmatic and accurate. Comfortable in complex, regulated and international environments. A clear and confident communicator with both operational and senior stakeholders.
