Job summary

The Hague-based role at TNO (Defence, Safety & Security) is to organise and manage supplier chains within DSS projects, ensuring alignment of commercial, contractual, operational and technical requirements.

You will collaborate with Procurement Advisors and project managers to secure timely, within-budget, high-quality delivery, while embedding modern supply chain practices across the business units.

Qualifications

• Completed academic (university-level) degree.
• Multi-year experience in procurement and/or supplier management and/or contract management.
• At least 10 years of relevant work experience in a technical, high-tech or R&D environment.
• Demonstrable experience managing complex (international) supplier or client relationships and technically challenging delivery or client contracts.
• A relevant professional network.
• Strong competencies in collaboration, results orientation, self-direction and initiative, market focus, entrepreneurship, negotiating and contracting.
• Ability to switch between strategic, tactical and operational level.
• Excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Organise and manage supplier chains within DSS projects, programmes and activities.
• Develop and maintain supplier chains from the first client proposals onwards.
• Ensure commercial, contractual, operational and technical requirements are aligned.
• Collaborate with Procurement Advisors to draw up assignments and contracts.
• Work with project managers to ensure the supplier chain functions within time, budget and quality.
• Maintain relationships and contracts and manage risk, resolving conflicts.
