Job summary

TNO Defence, Safety & Security is seeking a Business Developer for Autonomous Systems & Decision Support, based in The Hague or Soesterberg. You will shape national and international projects, engage with the Ministry of Defence, industry partners and research institutions, and orchestrate opportunities from idea to realisation.

You bring a Master’s degree, 5+ years of relevant experience in defence or related industries, and fluency in Dutch and English.

Qualifications

• Academic or higher professional education level (Master's or Bachelor's degree, or equivalent).
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in, or affinity with, the defence and security domain or related industries.
• Affinity with innovation and technology.
• Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English, verbal and written (minimum C1 level).

Responsibilities

• Develop and shape national and international defence and security projects, including NATO/EDF initiatives.
• Act as an orchestrator, connecting Defence needs with industry capabilities and research outcomes.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with stakeholders across government, industry and academia.
• Identify opportunities and guide ideas from concept to concrete projects.
• Stay up to date with developments and act as trusted advisor to stakeholders.
