Job summary

Hatenboer-Neptunus in Schiedam near the Nieuwe Maas is seeking a Deckhand to join our crew aboard the waterboat. You will assist the skipper with mooring, connecting hoses, and daily operations to keep our water supply running safely and smoothly.

Responsibilities include on-board maintenance, loading points tasks, painting, cleaning, and general duties to support vessel operations and safety.

As a Deckhand, you are an essential part of the crew. You work alongside the skipper to keep our waterboat operating safely and efficiently, from mooring and connecting hoses to carrying out general work and maintenance on board.

• Connecting and disconnecting water hoses on board vessels
• Mooring and unmooring the water barge
• Performing all necessary tasks on board and at related facilities (such as loading points), including maintenance work like painting and cleaning the vessel
