Job summary

De Bock Maritiem is seeking a Machinist (SMBW) for the shell suction dredger. The role includes joining a permanent replacement and operating in a small on-board crew, with a 2 weeks on/off sailing schedule.

The company sails its cargo under the Dutch flag with a permanent Dutch, EU, and Indonesian crew and offers a gross salary per the VWH collective labour agreement, plus opportunities for training and development.

The Bock Maritiem is 195 m/f strong and sails its cargo with 17 ships (up to 5000 GT) on the rivers and seas of Europe. Our specialty is the complete management of own and management coasters with low crawl height and shallow draft. We sail under the Dutch flag with a permanent Dutch, EU, and Indonesian crew. Due to turnover, we are looking for a machinist (SMBW) for our shell suction dredger. This ship is unique in its kind and sucks up shells in Dutch waters. Due to the technical installation on board, we are looking for an operator who wants to take care of this with a permanent replacement. The sailing/leave schedule is 2 weeks on/off.
