Job summary

Basic-Fit is seeking a Data Scientist to turn business questions into data-driven solutions and to deliver end-to-end data products. You will join a multidisciplinary Data Platform Team and collaborate with stakeholders to move ideas from concept to production.

You will design and deploy predictive models on Databricks, run experiments and explore AI/LLMs to add value across operations, marketing and finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Econometrics or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience in data science.
• Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms, frameworks and packages, and experience taking models from idea to production.
• Experience developing models across different domains (operations, marketing, finance), and the flexibility to quickly get up to speed in a new business area.
• Strong skills in Python and SQL, and hands-on experience with Databricks and Spark (PySpark) for large-scale data.
• Proven experience with MLOps practices, such as experiment tracking, model deployment and monitoring (e.g. MLflow).
• Solid knowledge of statistics: hypothesis testing, experimentation, regression, etc.
• Excellent communication skills in English, able to explain complex results to non-technical audiences.
• Experience with AI, such as working with LLMs and building agents, is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Turn business questions into data science solutions with stakeholders.
• Design, develop and deploy predictive models on the Databricks platform across multiple domains.
• Set up experiments and A/B tests to measure real impact.
• Explore how AI, LLMs and agents can create new value and improve workflows.
• Present results to stakeholders to support better decisions.
• Collaborate with Data Platform Engineers, Analysts and BI Developers to bring solutions into production.
• Increase data literacy and demystify data science across the business.
