Valcon is seeking a Data Science Consultant / Specialist to solve business questions with data-driven analysis, build models, and deploy solutions that integrate with clients’ data systems.

You will apply statistical modelling, machine learning, NLP and computer vision to create valuable insights, while communicating methods and outcomes clearly to stakeholders and team members.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a quantitative science (e.g., CS, AI, Math, Econometrics or Physics).
• 2 years of relevant work experience or a PhD.
• Strong team player with good communication skills.
• Curious with strong analytical skills; programming in Python.

Responsibilities

As a Data Science Consultant / Specialist, you will solve business questions with data-driven analysis, insight creation and data science solutions. You are responsible for all aspects of the implementation of a solution: business and data understanding, data engineering and modelling, and evaluation and deployment.

You apply statistical modelling, machine learning, natural language processing and/or computer vision to create insights and solutions that add value to customers, and you are able to communicate the analytical steps, outcomes and impact clearly to both team members and external stakeholders. You will also be responsible for implementing and possibly automating these steps and integrating them into clients’ data systems.

Experience

• A Master’s degree in a quantitative science such as Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Econometrics, or Physics
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience or a PhD
