Job summary

CBSbutler is seeking an experienced Data Loss Prevention Specialist for a hybrid role in the Netherlands (Noord-Brabant). The role focuses on hands-on DLP controls, translating business use cases into effective policy rules, and coordinating across security, compliance and engineering teams.

You will design and tune DLP policies for Symantec/Broadcom and Microsoft Purview, manage policy migrations, and lead incident investigations to protect sensitive data at rest, in transit and at endpoints.

Job description

I'm currently working with a major global technology organisation on a large scale data security programme, and we're looking for an experienced Data Loss Prevention Specialist to join the team.

This is hybrid, requiring once a month on site in North Brabant, on a long term 12 month rolling contract.

This is a hands on role for someone who knows DLP beyond simply administering policies, someone who can take a business requirement, understand the data and risk involved, and translate that into effective technical controls.

What you'll be doing

• Design, configure and optimise DLP policies across Symantec/Broadcom DLP and Microsoft Purview
• Translate business and security use cases into practical DLP policies and detection rules
• Configure and tune advanced detection techniques including EDM, IDM, fingerprinting, keyword matching, content inspection and machine learning based detection
• Manage policy migration, testing, monitoring and continuous optimisation
• Investigate DLP incidents and support remediation activities
• Identify and reduce false positives while maintaining appropriate levels of protection
• Work across endpoint, email, network, cloud and data at rest DLP controls
• Collaborate with security, compliance, legal and engineering stakeholders
• Provide guidance around data classification, sensitive information protection and regulatory requirements

We're particularly interested in candidates with:

• Strong hands on Symantec/Broadcom DLP experience
• Practical experience with Microsoft Purview DLP
• Enterprise scale DLP implementation and policy management experience
• Experience translating business requirements/use cases into DLP policies
• Strong understanding of detection methods, policy tuning and false positive reduction
• Experience managing DLP incidents and remediation
• Exposure to endpoint, email, network and/or cloud DLP controls
• The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
