Are you passionate about data protection and looking to take ownership of a global Microsoft Purview implementation? This is your opportunity to become the subject matter expert for Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) and the Microsoft Purview suite of tools. You'll play a key role in shaping an organisation-wide roll-out, collaborating with security teams and departments to deliver a best-in-class data governance program.

About the role

As a consultant, you will serve as the trusted expert, guiding the organisation in setting up and embedding Microsoft Purview globally. Your focus will be on translating regulatory and business requirements into effective sensitivity labels, DLP rules, and policies.

You\'ll work hand-in-hand with an allocated engineer who executes the Purview configurations, while you lead on strategy, ownership, and integration across business units. This role combines technical expertise with stakeholder engagement, training, and governance.

About you

We are looking for someone who brings strong technical expertise and hands-on experience in MIP/Purview, alongside excellent communication skills to guide business users and align with other security functions. You have a proactive approach and are comfortable owning a program end-to-end.

You bring

• Experience in Information Security, with a strong focus on Data Protection
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) and Microsoft Purview suite of tools
• Proven experience designing, implementing, and supporting MIP solutions
• Deep understanding of Purview\'s architecture, including data discovery, classification, cataloging, and governance
• Broad understanding of encryption, access control, data backup/recovery, and retention
• Knowledge of data classification principles and methodologies
• Any M365 Purview certifications would be a big plus
