Job summary

Zero Motorcycles is seeking an in-house Legal Counsel specialized in data, privacy and technology to partner with product, engineering and commercial teams. You will help shape privacy governance, data protection, and cybersecurity strategy across connected products and services.

The role emphasizes ownership, practical business orientation and a privacy-by-design mindset, with opportunities to expand into IP, commercial matters, and AI-enabled legal tools.

Qualifications

• Genuine depth in data and privacy for connected products and digital services.
• Privacy-by-design mindset applied to development and products.
• Strong commercial judgment and ownership of day-to-day matters.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key legal partner on data and privacy for connected products and digital services.
• Support product, engineering and digital teams on privacy-by-design initiatives.
• Advise on data compliance, DPAs, data-sharing and product documentation.
• Help build and maintain privacy and data governance foundations.
• Advise on cybersecurity and product-data security with stakeholders.
• Lead interactions with regulators on data protection and privacy.
• Coordinate external support on data, technology and related matters.
• Develop scalable guidance and workflows to keep Legal close to business.
• Contribute to LegalOps development and horizon scanning for EU/international changes.
