Job summary

Valcon NL is seeking a data governance expert to help translate governance policies into scalable, client-ready solutions. You will work within a growing Data Governance team, focusing on data strategy, operating models and tooling implementations.

You will collaborate with specialists across data, technology and consulting to deliver measurable improvements and value for clients, while developing your own expertise and career path.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Data Governance/Data Quality roles.
• Degree in a quantitative field (e.g. CS/AI/Math/Economics).
• Strong teamwork, communication and analytical skills.
• Fluency in Dutch and English.
• Experience with data management tooling is a plus.

Valcon is a no-nonsense consultancy agency focused on end-to-end transformations that combine consulting, technology and data. We help clients across Retail, Manufacturing, Finance, Government and Infrastructure sectors.

What will you do?

We believe that a solid data governance foundation is the key enabler to truly become a data driven organisation. In the Data Governance team of Valcon NL, we help our clients get their data foundation in great shape; ready and flexible to respond to the future. From developing the data strategy to implementation, including organisational, people, process, data and technology change.

Our fast-growing Data Governance team consists of a mix of data subject matter experts who, together with expertise from the wider Valcon practices, deliver successful projects for our customers.

Our projects are varied and may include:

• Assessing the data maturity of our customers.
• Establishing and communicating a data governance strategy.
• Designing and implementing new operating models, structures, roles and responsibilities.
• Designing and implementing new data governance and data management processes.
• Implementing data catalog and/or data quality solutions.

Experience

• 2 years+ of experience within a Data Governance and/or Data Quality role.
• A quantitative degree such as Computer Science, AI, Mathematics, Economics, etc.
• Strong teamwork, communication and analytical skills.
• Fluency in Dutch and English.
• Any experience with data management tooling, e.g. Collibra, Purview, Informatica, Ataccama etc, is a plus.
