Role Overview

As a Data Governance Consultant, you will help organizations translate policies, principles, and regulatory requirements into actionable and scalable data solutions. You will assess existing data maturity, design governance frameworks, and guide clients in embedding data management practices that balance control with flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess data maturity levels and identify gaps in governance, ownership, and quality management.
• Define and implement data governance strategies, frameworks, and operating models.
• Design organizational structures, roles, and responsibilities for data ownership and stewardship.
• Develop and roll out data management processes, including data quality, metadata, and catalog management.
• Support implementation of governance tools such as Collibra, Microsoft Purview, Informatica, or Ataccama.
• Align governance frameworks with broader data strategy, analytics, and compliance goals.
• Advise clients on best practices for embedding governance into everyday business processes.
• Facilitate workshops and communicate data management principles across all levels of the organization.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative or relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, or Economics).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in data governance, data management, or data quality roles.
• Understanding of governance principles, data ownership, and metadata management.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Experience working in cross‑functional teams with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Familiarity with data governance tools such as Collibra, Purview, Informatica, or Ataccama is a plus.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
• Proactive mindset with a passion for helping organizations become data‑driven.
