Job summary

Follo is looking for a Data Engineer to design, build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines that support multiple clients and our data warehouse. You will shape architectures, ensure data quality and performance, and contribute to both warehousing and pipeline development.

You will work in a small engineering team, with direct access to leadership, balancing fast agency needs with robust, scalable data infrastructure. Hybrid work and international remote options are available.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of production data engineering experience.
• Strong Python and TypeScript production code.
• Strong SQL and BigQuery for complex queries and data modelling.
• Experience with at least one DAG orchestration platform (Windmill, Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, Inngest, Temporal).
• Experience applying version control and CI/CD to data infrastructure.
• 2–3 years of Google Cloud Platform experience; ability to assess and rebuild environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT workflows for multiple clients.
• Orchestrate data flows through DAG platforms; influence platform choice.
• Write robust Python and TypeScript for integrations and transformations.
• Safeguard quality, uptime and reliability; fix root causes, not quick patches.
• Use LLMs as a fixed transformation step in pipelines (clean, categorize, enrich data).
• Monitor and optimize costs: BigQuery queries, API calls, token usage.
