Job summary

Churned is seeking a Data Engineer Intern to join our DevOps and Data Engineering team. You will help build and optimize the data infrastructure that powers our predictive and prescriptive AI engines, collaborating with data scientists and engineers.

Responsibilities include creating client system integrations, structuring data for analytics, and supporting model deployment on GCP. The role offers a hybrid setup near Amstel Station and an internship allowance of €500 gross per month.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Looking for a work internship (minimum 6 months preferred).
• Strong experience in Python and SQL.
• Experience with version control tools like Git, containerization tools like Docker, and working with REST APIs.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably GCP) is a plus.
• Some exposure to Apache Spark is a plus.
• Eager to learn, proactive, and not afraid to take ownership.

Responsibilities

• Create integrations to client systems.
• Build and optimize our data platform and infrastructure.
• Support Data Scientists in model deployment and continuous operations.
• Structure and organize data for analytical and reporting needs.
• Contribute to and improve our in-house data processing platform on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
