Job summary

Levy Professionals is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with a strong Data Engineering mindset to join a challenging data-centric project focused on data archiving, automation and modern data pipelines. You will help move data into secure object storage and build searchable archives for regulatory compliance.

You will design automated ETL pipelines, develop interfaces for searching archived data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet tight timelines.

Qualifications

• Experience with Python or PowerShell across Windows and Linux.
• Experience with C#, JavaScript or .NET.
• Experience with UI development, ideally React.
• Experience building and optimising data pipelines and working with large datasets.
• Strong analytical skills across structured and unstructured data.
• Experience designing data transformation, metadata and workload management processes.
• Good understanding of data engineering and ETL concepts.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Nice to have: Ansible Automation Platform and playbook development.
• Nice to have: MSSQL and/or Oracle experience.
• Nice to have: SIARD and database archiving.
• Nice to have: Hitachi Content Platform (HCP).
• Nice to have: Solr.
• Nice to have: background in archiving, compliance or application decommissioning.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated ETL and data pipelines
• Design solutions for structured and unstructured data
• Develop searchable archives for regulatory and compliance requirements
• Create frameworks for ingesting decommissioned application data
• Develop secure interfaces for searching archived data
• Automate infrastructure and deployment processes
• Code, test, document and maintain production-ready solutions
• Work with cross-functional teams and communicate progress, risks and technical decisions
• Deliver solutions to demanding timelines and support customer handover
